The Batteau Festival Arts And Crafts Market In Scottsville, Virginia

The Batteau Festival is an annual 8-day river float which has revived the days of moving hogsheads (big barrels) of tobacco along the James in Virginia. The batteaux put in at various stops along the River from Stapleton (east of Lynchburg, Virginia) to Maidens (west of Richmond, Virginia). The batteaux will be in Scottsville, Virginia on June 24th. Pete Hellmann, as well as other artists, will be participating in the arts market.
